Dutchess Optometry provided an excellent first time experience for my 2 toddlers. The staff is very welcoming and Dr. Sheedy truly has amazing patience especially trying to get my girls to focus during their eye exam after being dilated. They even went above and beyond in getting a different pair of glasses for my youngest when the original pair we ordered did not work for my 2 year old. I highly highly recommend!

I can’t say enough good things about Dutchess Optometry. My mom is 84 years old, and everyone was absolutely wonderful. Dr. Lappan was kind, thorough, and took the time to explain everything in a way that made her feel comfortable. Emily, the pretester, was so patient, Gina at the front desk was welcoming and helpful, and Jennifer was amazing when helping my mom pick out her glasses. Every single person treated her with such care, patience, and respect. It truly meant the world to us. Highly recommend!

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Sheedy’s for five years. Her and her team continue to engage with me in a warm, friendly yet very professional manner. I find Dr. Sheedy to be caring and empathetic to my unique vision issues which is important to me. Her Staff is excellent at either of her locations.

Yesterday while sitting in Red Hook I noticed that 1 of the nose pieces on my glasses had fallen off. I'd never been to this place before so I called them because they were nearby where I was. And I said hey my nose piece fell off I just realized why my glasses are sitting crooked they said I'll come on right down and we will fix it for you. With no hesitation they took my glasses and they fixed them I can't thank them enough for fixing my glasses and they absolutely did it at a no charge and I am not even a patient of theirs. So for that I am entirely grateful and I felt that they deserved a 5 star review. Thank you duchess optometry for helping me out with my eyeglass need. Yours truly The real deal.

I had a good experience at Dutchess Optometry. The office was easy to get to, comfortable and clean. I arrived early, and was ushered right in. The staff was courteous and knowledgeable, and Dr Lappan was thorough, also efficient. She explained things about eye glasses I had not understood before. I am eager to receive my new glasses and am confident they will be perfect!

Everyone from reception to Dr. Speedy were amazing! The wait time was minimal and the woman who helps you choose glasses goes above and beyond to ensure you are happy. I'm so glad I found the office and will definitely keep going to the office. Thank you all!
